Students are interviewed 1on1 to get a sense for their flash comfort level and skill set. This discussion also includes questions regarding their experience at Kendall and setting personal goals for the class.
Students took part in discussions covering structure, technologies, and best practice at a high level. A diagram of Server-Side vs. Client-Side was shown to detail the big picture ideas of the work we do in this class and in business.
http://www.codecademy.com/ was use as a talking point for speaking on basic principles of coding. Students worked through 4 chapters and then we discussed how these basic principles relate to both JavaScript and Actionscript as well as many other coding languages.
